TO SEE, OR NOT TO SEE: THAT IS THE QUESTION – NICHOLAS FARRELL IN HAMLET
Of course, “To see, or not to see” is not really the question, as very few have been lucky enough to get a hold of tickets for this 3 week performance starring Tom Hiddleston in the titular role.
If you are one of the lucky ones, please do revel in Nicholas Farrell‘s performance as King Claudius in Kenneth Branagh’s Olivier Award-winning theatre company’s (in co-production with RADA) production of Shakespeare’s Hamlet.
The production is in aid of the RADA Attenborough Campaign to support the transformation of RADA’s Chenies Street site in London, further developing the Academy as a world-leader in dramatic arts training. Tickets were allocated by ballot and first night reviews are now in. The Guardian gave a 4 star review, singling out Nick’s performance:
“One of the best comes from Nicholas Farrell, whose Claudius starts as a wholly plausible, persuasive head of state and then slowly reveals his moral turpitude: I loved the moment when he inquired, in astonishment, “From Hamlet?” as letters arrived from his supposedly murdered nephew.”
