Originally from New Zealand, Rex became a resident of London in 2006 to pursue his lifelong interest in voice acting. His work includes talking books for the blind, an audio tour for the National Portrait Gallery, continuity for the Travel Channel and corporate video narration for a variety of clients including the All Blacks Rugby Board, Mintel International, Manpower Group, Jif, the Marine Stewardship Council and NATO. Rex’s soft New Zealand and Australian accents make for easy listening for both native and international audiences. He also has a diverse range of voices for video games, radio drama and comedy and is a keen mimic, his impressions including Tom Baker and Patrick Stewart. Away from the recording booth Rex has also worked in script editing and audio casting, and as a writer for the BBC. In his spare time he develops a range of improvised comedy characters and has provided consultancy and guest speaking on the property guardian industry to the Empty Homes Network, University of York Law School and the London Assembly Housing Committee.
