Ian Danter is a regular presenter, reporter and commentator for talkSPORT, having joined the station in 2004, appearing on Matchday Live, Football First and Evening Kick-Off. Prior to joining talkSPORT, Ian had been at BRMB and Capital Gold in Birmingham commentating and reporting on Aston Villa, Birmingham City and West Bromwich Albion matches. It was also BRMB that gave him his big break in radio when he became the BRMB “Eye in the Sky” travel reporter in 1998, before rapid progression saw him become the station’s drive time host within two years.
Ian’s Barmy Brummies show on BRMB, with its mix of music and freshly written topical sketches and parody songs became hugely popular in Birmingham and he repeated that success in 2004 when he move to Midlands rivals 100.7 Heart FM to present Ian Danter’s Sunday Carve-Up; he was nominated for an NTL Commercial Radio Award that same year. Ian also presented a weekly music and comedy show on The Arrow between 2005 and 2007.
